I can't seem to get any flash programs to backup my 3390 phone. I tried several and added an entry for the models.cfg but I get "checksum doesn't match phone will show contact service" but when I backup say a 3310 it works 100%. What program for sure will backup/ flash a 3390 U.S. phone?
am using rolis flasher 4.78 build 006 only this one works for me while i was in the states hope this helps
Were you getting the "checksum doesn't match" message after reading the flash? I am, but when I read a 3310 it worked 100%....
on my 3390 yes i did receive that kind of message but i switched all the parts and mixed them up then i cleaned all the contact points after that i tried backing it up and then flashing it then i worked for me
use Rolis Flasher 4.78b006
assuming that Rolis flasher reports that all checksums other than the 'Tune CHK test' on your phone are OK, your flash file should be fine. ;)
when backing up my phone, this is what appears in the log window for that test:
Tune CHK test .............................. Failed.(readed 0x0000,calculated 0x7121)
Rolis flasher assumes that the 3390 Firmware has an Eeprom Tune Checksum, although it doesn't, unlike the 3310. :p
