i have recently purchased a samsung datacble for the A300. When i opened it i found that it had 2 cables coming out of the phone connector. 1 was black and one was red (like power connectors) and they had crocodile clips on. When i use any software to unlock the phone it tells me to check connections as if it isnt connected. Do i need to connect something to these connector and what are they for???
i think u have got the wrong datacable buddy
its definately the right one, just need to know what the power connectors are for....

i also got that A300 cable with 2 crocodile clips .... this cable works fine on all samsung models listed in PADERF 4.5 but i wanna know that how can i flash a samsung phone ??? will this cable work or not ???? cuz it unlocks all the fones 4 me !! and i also cant change the IMEI..... can n e plz help me ???

Do you connect anything to the clips on tha cable to get it to unlock??? and also does it unlock the a300???

I have one of these cables and from what I have discovered it an external supply in from your charger
I have been told that too but there is no way it can connect to the charger. Is there any kind of adapter? or even some kind of battery pack to fix it on?
can u not use one of them squareish 9volt batteries? or get a battery holder / clip that has the connectors on them? they are easy to find, and can be picked up in any decent eletrical store for under £1
I did think of doing that but the connectors have a sticker on them saying 3.5-5.5v or something araound that mark.....i could try it i spose, can only kill the phone .....:p

u have orignal A300 flasher cable which comes 2 crocodial cancters.
u have to give min 3.5 or max 5.5 volts (from any external power suplyor adapters )for flashing ..not for unlocking ..

thank you for the information but when i use any unlock software it just says 'phone not connected' or something similar. please help....
just put a sim card in ur A300.after that conact ur A300 cable with mobile .power on the mobile .then u see ur led light (serivce light)is red and ur phone screen is green blank like ( hang ) position.
after that u can unlock ur phone ..u must make hang position ur phone 1st. then press unlock.
hope its will work for u .

i tried to make the phone (SGH-A300) into hang position as you suggested but when cable is connected i cannot switch on the phone (no power, no LED) i have enclosed a picture of my datacable to see if you recognise it to help.....
in pic this cable is for flashing ..
i m not sure that flash cable can unlock also ..
try to unlock ur phone with data cable .
