help - water damage
Hi,
First problem is that my brother dropped his 3310 in water and now every second line on LCD doesn't work... I put in a new LCD but still same problem so i think it is a fault on the board.
Secondly, my friend gave me a 8210 to look at that was 'water damaged', after i replaced the dead battery it was working fine, but then i inserted a rejected sim card and it turned off, it hasn't turned on since, is this because of the dodgy sim or because of internal liquid damage finally showing an effect.???

See you the tutorial of "water damage"?
Search in this site.
Have the steps to try save your phone (open phone, clean, flash, etc...).
Good luck!
Important (to all readers of this message): After a phone drop in the water, put out the batery more fast possible, ##THE WATER DON'T DAMAGE YOUR PHONE, WHO DAMAGE IS THE SHORT CIRCUIT##. And donīt try turn ON the phone before open and dry 100% the phone. Is good open and dry fastly to prevent corrosion.

chill out mate!
regarding 3310 first check ur lcd mate isee if it has big gold connectors or the small ones sometimes they r not compatible so if u have small connector change to the big one and vice versa it should be alright
regarding 82xx open the fone dip it in isopropanol for about an hour then clean it thoroughly with a toothbrush and leave it to dry for 1-2 hrs ur phone should switch on and work and in case it dosent 90% chances itll be ready if u flash it
