Hi,
Can anyone help me with the following problem, my 9210 resets and looses date and time after removing my battery.

I'd hazard a guess at the EEPROM being Leaky. You might need a visit to the Care Centre.
Thanks, i might aswell go buy a new phone.
You might as well go for the 9500 Model rather than buying 9210i again. 9500 has a lot more features than 9210i
These reseting-> Try to format your caommy and see is it stop. (i mean the reseting)
The date/time-> the internal battery might be very low, or totaly bad. Try to replace it. Its cheaper than a new commy...
The 9500 has not been released in South Africa as yet or may i say i have not seen it in South Africa. I was told its a great phone with lots of good features. Thanks again.
I Have the same problem smog
But I do not untherstand way you are saying can you bee more specifiec how to change the internal battery
Before using this guide you must obtain a new battery from nokia center or any other source.
Things you need:
1. T6 Screw Driver.
2. New Internal battery.
3. Steady Hands, shaking not exceptable
Ok, Here goes:
OPENING THE BOTTOM COVER:
1. Turn your commy off & Remove the Battery.
2. Remove the four rubbers.
3. Remove the four screws under the rubber (1,2,3 & 4).
4. Open the lid and remove both cards (Sim & MMC)
5. remove the two remaining screws under the Lid (5 & 6).
6. Open the commy carefully.
Things to take care when you remove the bottom:
1. The black IR part.
2. Speaker & it's white rubber(No.2 shown in the picture "Diagram 2".
3. Sim & MMC connectors (don't touch them).
4. Don't touch unnecessary to any internal parts.
5. And don't try to open the PDA side when you remove the bottom part.
In some cases the battery (1) and the speaker white rubber (2) are sticked to the bottom part. So don't be shocked if you don't find them in the proper place.
Now you can easily replace the battery(1), it's attached with a strip with black rubber on top.
After replacing the battery, you can reverse the process to assemble your commy(OPENING THE BOTTOM COVER).
I tried my best to guide on how to replace the internal battery, sorry for the low quality pictures, it was from my nokia commy camera.
Enjoy!
