E700 usb to serial works or not?

hi im in dilemma wether i should purchase a E700 USB cable or a E700 SERIAL cable?


i have heard of E700 USB cables being able to flash and unlock with usb-to-serial drivers and would like to know how many people hav got this to work or does it really work?


or isit posible to do the same with a serial cable? i.e send ringtones and pictures with a serial cable with drivers?

i would choose the usb cable over the serial cable any day as long as you buy it with the drivers on disc otherwise it's useless.
i tried a serial cable but my e700 was not recognised by any software i tried.
i was a bit wary about using usb as i thought it would be limited to what you could do with it. how wrong i was. i can now download ringtones, pictures, screensavers with ease now and knowing it will work, which i couldn't do with a serial cable.
also works for imei change etc!
buy usb, get a receipt, if it doesn't work take it back.
what have you got too lose? :D
