Do you own an N-Gage?
If so, format the MMC on a Digital Camera or a device with a MMC-slot and format it. Then insert into the N-Gage again and format again.
Then the icons shouldn't disappear anymore
Or ...
Get a different MMC (that has none of the apps installed on the previous one) and format it on the N-Gage. Then re-insert the first MMC back in
2nd option recommended

hmmmm
sometimes when I install something that's been installed and then uninstalled before on my MMC the icon doesn't appear in the menu... To overcome this i open file explorer (seleQ etc) then find the app that is missing an icon... ie E/System/Apps/ inside the application folder find the app that is invisable and look for a file that ends .app. and click on it this will open the app and upon restart the icon should be back in the main menu, if it doesn't ou could try cutting and pasting this into the relevant folder... don't know if this helps or not good luck though...

I've have the problem where the icons regularly move out of any folders i have put them in onto the main menu. This is probably cuz it had a problem reading the MMC, took the app shortcuts away, then found the apps again, then put the shortcuts on the main menu. Doesn't really bother me, not the hardest job in the world moving them back. Just a little more hassle if the icons aren't there, and since fileexplorer has packed up, its even harder. Ah well, 7610 in a few weeks...
