Some quick short questions about MADos and 8210.
Just got a 8210 and thought i put MADos in.
1. Opened a virgin ppm&mcu, deleted the unused languages (left comm, engl in).
2. Opened in g3n0lite and reserved code chunk. fixed all checks.
3. Ran cygwin and compiled fullembed for 8210.
4. Opened HexWorkshop and put the fullembed right after CODE by g33g0 (over so file is same size).
5. Changed CODE by g33g0 to MDOS Section (same length).
6. Opened the file in g3n0lite, ran the mados_menu.gsc with 0x00200000 + 0x00140040. (5e0 option checked). I had to reserve another ppm chunk of 10000
my mados menu script only has 3 lines:
5E0: 5E0_space = 10
CLC: MADos_startup = 0x00200000 + 0x00140040
A5E: foo = MADos_startup
is it ok?
7. Made a menu that looks like this after writing it:
[0x0033F69C] [0x00000000] [0x000000AD] (0x0058) (0x05E0) (0x0000) (0x003D) (0x0400) (0x001B) MADos
8. Fixed ppm checks, killed mcu and faid.
Now the thing is that when opening the MADos menu the phone just flickers and restarts.
Questions:
3. is fullembed allright for 8210?
6. is 0x00200000 ok? or should it be 0x00000000??? is it ok to reserve another code chunk for the menu (g3n0lite says that it doesn't have enough space)
7. is there something wrong with the menu? what menu do you have for MADos?
I read all the posts and threads about MADos... i don't know who to believe, some say do that, some say do this. Many did the same way i did and they succeded. Maybe they did something and forgot to mention it in their post.
Please help me... i lost 2 night trying to figure this out, I am not stupid, just not very good at this things... I can do menus and graphics and everything for my 8210 but MADos is killing me.
