Custom headsets

So here's an idea I tried once with my Nokia 3650, but I think I screwed it up.

For mono phones (3650, 6600, 7610, etc) what if somone takes a regular Nokia single earbud headset and splices both ears from a cheap set of headphones into the earbud wire of the nokia headset? You end up with a Nokia headset with a mic and TWO headphone speakers. Technically it should work, I don't think the Nokia earbud speaker is any different from a regular headphone speaker. Anyone with a lil electronics skill try her out and see what happens. I tried it once but i had no clue what i was doin.

And a question (mostly to nk au or someone else who's had a chance to review the 7610): Hows the MP3 audio? Better than 6600 and 3650 I'm hoping.

The quality of the mp3 on the 7610 is decent for a mono device, and the mp3 played through the loudspeaker is LOUD! (Yes, its better than 6600 and 3650 significantly!)

But, if you're buying the 7610 only for its MP3 capabilities, that would be a bad idea.

I use the mp3 player on the 7610 for self-enjoyment, not for serious party entertainment
