Sharp Vodafone GX15

Hi... I'm new here. Just wanna ask something. Someone gave me Sharp GX15 for my birthday. The key function is okay. But I need some help regarding the melody editor. I think I like nokia better because the key press ringtone is so easy. How about the GX15? can somebody here teach me how to enter for example the tone : 1****^ 7777*9> . I really need help in this because I cannot set my favorite songs as ringtones since I'm so clueless with the melody editor key.
