Nokia 6101 application setting (GPRS) question

I recently purchased a Nokia 6101 from a local T mobile center, with whom I currently have service.
My question is, when I install applications to the phone that require a GPRS connection (such as Pocket Web), whenever the application tried to access the GPRS network, I get a error message "not allowed".
I see in the options for this application, there is a place to change the application access, however, this option is not accessible (it's in gray color), and if I try to change this setting, I get an error message "not available for this application".
So, is there any way to get around this? Or since this is a T mobile branded phone, it will have to be re-flashed? :???:

Apparently, there's a problem with your GPRS settings. You can check if this settings are ok. Call T-Mobile, and ask them to send your GPRS settings. They will send them in a message OTA (Over The Air... they were not very original when they chose a name for this we have to admit). Your phone should recognize the message as the GPRS settings and after that, check that it's working.

If it's not, there may be a software problem. First check the propietary phone apps that use GPRS (like the browser) and then check other apps. If none of them work, then go to customer service, as there's a software problem. Do not flash the phone, it could void the warranty, and you may need it.
