8310e Problem?!?!

i just got a 8310 off my m8 who has now moved away, he was on with orange (PAUG or contact i cant remember) i pluged my old simcard in from my old 8210 (Visited a pint of stella and aint worked since but simcard wernt in it @ the time) and i switch it on i get

"SimCard Registration Failed"

Wat this mean.. IMEI number blacklisted or needs unlocking

IMEI barred phone or simcard has no credit on it, you could try unlocking but can't say for sure that the phone will work on a diffrent network, but worth a try.
