Nokia 3310 backlight blues

I have heard a lot of strange stories about the Nokia 3310. Stories that I did not believe until recently I experienced myself.

Nokia 3310s are known to have inherent factory problems like:
- Automatic shut offs
- Menus going haywire
- System hanging (right in the middle of sms! )
- All this until your unit finally dies out on you !

I did not experience all this until I finally decided to have my 3310 serviced for backlighting. Everything was fine for a moment until all this sysmptoms started to appear after a day or so after I had my backligths changed.

I've heard about these symptoms from other 3310 users who apparently did not even mess around w/ their units like, "programming or tampering" w/ their Nokies!

I'd very much appreciate it if anybody could give me a logical explanation to all these problems.

the problems you describe are well known
the 3310 suffers from different problems
the most problems on earlier models dissapear with a
software update

i once had a 3310 who also had your problem
what i dit was : get a hotair gun and make all components
so hot that they almost fall off the pcb

this works great !
