There are a couple of factors wrt this.
Do you have to pay for 0845 0875 0800 access on ur fone?
If so then you need to find an ISP that has a normal landline number for you to dial up to.
This can be hard to find without having to pay a monthly charge.
As the ISP's make there money on % kickbakcs from the telephone companies when the call switches to the part of the line they own.
Anyway, freeola.com are a great service if you have free 0845 access.
Virgin.net are reasonable with their 0800 access (I havenlt tried their Free 0845). And Hotchilli.co.uk have a standard UK dial-up but you'd have to find out the prices
Which network are you with?
Do you just want to access Email and use Doris etc from ur fone?
If you use messenger apps then gprs would be a better move.
Or do you want to use the 7650 as a modem for ur laptop/desktop?
Zero
I just want to check, and perhaps reply to, my emails from my phone, I don't really want internet access although if this was free it would be a bonus...
I'm with Orange (UK)
Thanks

who do you have ur current mail with?
Can you dial up with this isp?
If so then use these settings.
If it's a corporate mail then you just need to dial in to ur company (ask them for the details of ip's etc.)
If you just want to create a new email and use it on ur 7650 you can use an alias, so people will think it's coming from ur name.
Contact orange first and find out what you are charged for and what comes in with ur free minutes (if you have any)
they probably also do their own email service similar to vodafone and cellnet and t-mobile virgin etc. So you could just ask them about that too.
Without knowing if you already have email and if it allows to be picked up from a non proprietory connection, that's about it.
Zero
