Thread: Tx / Rx

    Tx / Rx

Is it possible to save the RX/TX values (manually maybe) before flashing / restoring factory defaults, and restore them back in the same phone with the new flash?

    This is an interesting question,
are we talking DCT3 Or Dct4 phones .

In dct3 phones you can save the entire flashfile and eprom .

when u tune tx-rx values to the phone and save once your satisfied with them , arent those values/data saved in the eprom?

if so when u do a full read of your phone they r saved in that flash .

But i think if u tune tx-rx on your phone and want to upgrade mcu and ppm only(not eprom) then the tx-rx values dont get written over .

I think iv succesfully managed to confuse you and myself so ill leave that there ..

    Woah!

I'm talking about dct3 phones (3310 in my case).
I want to read the rx/tx values before reseting to factory defaults cause my 3315 (previously 3310) consumes the battery in 3 days, when it lasted for 4 or 5 days before flashing, reseting, etc.
So if I can read the values from the original flash and write them to the modified flash or the phone the battery should last 4 or 5 days again

    Any ideas?

Hmm i see , erm.. current calibration erm.. i thinks that stuff is also in the eprom , i know at nokia they can do this , but here dont think so , what u need is a good full flash file which tx rx is good obviously and battery calibration is as well ,

write a good full flash and rewirte your imei to the phone , but saving your own tx-rx values , im sure if that can be done unless someboday has worked out what adress's they are saved to

I've read in this forum that is possible to adjust rx-tx with wintesla. That's why I think that it can be saved or even writed in a piece of paper and readjusted in the reflashed phone.

Yea with wintesla u can tune tx -rx and save them to your phone , but unless u dont have a signal generator , then u wont know what your tunning and to what value

I know I need a signal generator. That's why I want to read rx-tx values with wintesla at first, when they were ok.
Second, flash the phone (rx-tx messed up).
Third, write original rx-tx with wintesla.

I have read that rx-tx values are unique for every phone, as the imei is (or should be), so I think read/reflash/write_original will work ok as long as it is the same hardware. I don't have wintesla and don't know how rx-tx tunning works in it or if current rx-tx values are shown on the screen.

    Thanks
