5110 strange problem

i have this 5110 no signal in smart but full signal in globe telecom
i already try to reflash the phone update faid but still get the same problem. what seems to be the problem of this phone.. pls help... thanks

I'm not sure about the particular networks you are using as i'm only really familiar with UK networks.

The 5110 is a single band phone which only operates on GSM 900mhz Networks, in the UK these are O2 and Vodafone.

Check what frequency the networks operate on and you will find the one which works with the phone is operating on GSM 900mhz, whereas the other one which doesnt will be on another frequency, GSM 1800mhz for example.

thanks for your reply, globe telecom and smart works at 800mhz why is it only one network globe telecom only works.

try tapping #pw+1234567890+1# on your keypad when the phone is switched on and the sim card is in.
If you see "Sim not Restricted" then it is not locked.

If it says something like "Code Error" or resets itself then it is locked to the network that it works on.

You should then use an MBUS or autoswitching M/FBUS datacable and Noktool1.8 to unlock it, the tutorial is on my site, click www below.

thanks again for your reply but i already done the one that you mentioned the phone says sim was not restricted. how come i cant still access other network.

Is there a possibility that the diplexer is detuned?
