unlocking a 3310

Hi all hope you can help.

I have got a 3310 from a friend that was locked on the orange network. I have a T-mobile sim card and have tried to unlock it using Flasher but keep getting the message :

Phone not respond! (Load boot data)

What am I doing wrong and does it have anything to do with my computer still using Win95.

All help would be much appreciated.

well, little i know, but i know enough to tell you that you unlock phones with a m2bus cable (connects to your com port) you're trying to flash, so you say (using the lpt-printer port cable) flashing is to update sw versions etc...

you're using the wrong cable bud

fortunately you made that backup right? you did backup the phone first didn't you? write the flash file back and then use the correct cable to unlock the phone

sounds like he didnt even flash it , so just unlock it with a mbus cable
