    Here are some codes that you can use on your phones.

    I've been browsing the net trying to find different codes for phones. I've succeeded in finding alot, but some of them I don't understand. If you know what it means, then please reply!

    Show IMEI number. Of course you can just take off the battery, but if you don't want to, then at the stand-by screen, enter this:

    * # 0 6 #

    To change you PIN number from the stand-by screen, you'll need to know the old PIN. Enter:

    * * 0 4 * (old PIN) * (new PIN) * (new PIN) #

    1. Push the "Star Key".
    2. Push the "Star Key".
    3. Push the "0" key.
    4. Push the "4" key.
    5. Push the "Star Key".
    6. Enter your old PIN.
    7. Push the "Star Key".
    8. Enter the new PIN that you want.
    9. Push the "Star Key".
    10.Enter the new PIN that you want again.
    11.Push the "Pound Key".

    To change you PIN2 number from the stand-by screen, you'll need to know the old PIN2. Enter:

    * * 0 4 2 * (old PIN2) * (new PIN2) * (new PIN2) #

    To change you PUK number from the stand-by screen, you'll need to know the old PUK. Enter:

    * * 0 5 * (old PUK) * (new PUK) * (new PUK) #

    To change you PUK2 number from the stand-by screen, you'll need to know the old PUK2. Enter:

    * * 0 4 * (old PUK2) * (new PUK2) * (new PUK2) #

    To check the Firmware version on your phone, enter:

    * # 0 0 0 0 #

    To turn on the EFR, enter:

    * 3 3 7 0 #

    After you accept it, the phone will turn off.

    To turn the EFR off, enter (the difference is you start with # instead of *):

    # 3 3 7 0 #

    After you accept it, the phone will turn off.

    This is what the webpage that I got the code off of explained about the code:

    "EFR (Enhanced Full Rate) Codec will be activated after a reboot of the phone. EFR produces superior (near-landline) voice quality if supported by the host Network"

    To turn on the HR, enter:

    * 4 7 2 0 #

    After you accept it, the phone will turn off.

    To turn the HR off, enter (the difference is you start with # instead of *):

    # 4 7 2 0 #

    After you accept it, the phone will turn off.

    This is what the webpage that I got the code off of explained about the code:

    "HR (Half Rate) Codec will be activated after a reboot of the phone. HR (if supported by the host Network) offers better battery talk time but produces inferior voice quality."

    To view the warranty screen, enter:

    * # 9 2 7 0 2 6 8 9 #

    The only way to get out of this screen is to turn your phone off.

    To reset your phone back to the Factory Defaults, enter:

    * # 7 7 8 0 #

    If anyone knows what the EFR and the HR are, please respond. Hope that this helps you!!!

    Thanks!!!

    [b]EFR[/b] = [b]E[/b]nhanced [b]F[/b]ull [b]R[/b]ate codec. this will make the voice sound better, but also makes the phone use more power from the battery.

    [b]HR[/b] = [b]H[/b]alf [b]R[/b]ate codec. this codec uses half of the "frames" (not sure how it is really called, sorry), so the voice sounds worse, but it uses less power from the battery.

    you can check these settings using netmonitor. go to test 1 of the netmonitor, and make a call. then look at the buttom line, it will be one of these:
    TEFR (EFR)
    TFR (full rate - normal)
    THRx (HR - x can be 0 or 1)

    and i have a question about the PUK changing code, has anyone tried it? i know that PUK code is not supposed to be changeable.
