8265 in a FAKE 8910 Case built for a 8310

I ordered a conversion kit to make an 8310 look like an 8910 (can't get an 8910 in the states). If the 8265 buttons will not fit the kit, can I simply swap an 8310 LCD and button module with the one on the 8265, or is it just crazy to think that might work?

Also, are the LCD for the 8310 and the 6510 the same? Are any Euro parts interchangable with my 8265?

I do not know about such cheap conversion cases, but LCD for 8310 and 6510 is not the same. The 6510 has same hardware, but higher resolution LCD screen.

You can use the 8310 screen on a 6510 if you upload 8310 software and vice-versa.

So, would I be correct in saying that I could use an 8310 LCD screen and keypad on an 8265, so long as I installed the software for an 8310?
