    3510i tesco uk - unlock?

tesco uk have a very good offer on payg 3510i - their service is a joint venture with 02. Where could I find the operator unlock code for tesco to use in one of the dct4 unlock calcs, as I want to use an o2 sim, or would it probably just take the o2 sim OK.

it will probably be the O2 network code but try it with the sim card first, the early Virgin/T-mobile were the same...it was only later that virgin started using special codes

thanks, have nt purchaased the phone yet, but when/if I do I will try the o2 sim first. Its for my son, his 1st phone, but now looking at a 3300, its for games only, is there much difference between 3510i and 3300? I don not have a clue, n-gage is too expensive.

the 3510i is a nomal pone with a color LCD
and the 3300 is a Music Fone where you can upload and listen to music
And Ngage is more like a game console
    for game
In my opinoin ill rather choose the 3300

If it helps, I just put my Tesco SIM out of my Tesco 3510i into my 3330, and it says "BT Cellnet" for the operator name, before quickly changing to say "Tesco".

I have a datacable for my 3330, so is there any way I could use it to check which operator code the SIM is?

    yes you can use
    Bwinlock to chech
    the network code

Bwinlock is only for DCT4 phones it says, but my 3330 is DCT3 isn't it?

Is there a program that I can use to read the SIM's operator code while it's in my 3330 via datacable?

    use Rolis 18
    ir the best for dct3

In that case, the code I generated using DCT4NCK, using the O2 code doesn't work.

I could have done it wrong though.
Also, Smart v4 asked for the Dongle type, I chose "Dongle v2" but it gave the same code as when I chose Dongle v1.

Tesco Mobile has a "Special" code of it's own now and is not the same as O2

probably why the code is wrong

all the better DCT4 calc software have it added already
