message sending failed on 3310

hi all, 3310, works fine with calls in and out but wont send sms. i get "message sending failed". my son is in heart failure mode as if someone has chopped his littl' fingers off. can anyone help. i have f/m cables and some programs but is this software - hardware (he hasnt found out that nokias dont fly yet!) or something as simple as he has turned something of in the menu. many thanks to all that help.. cheers

first check the message centre number in message settings and see if its the same as someone elses with the same operator.Its probably just that
