Badly flashed 3310....

A friend of mine tried to flash his 3310, but the screen ended up with odd symbols on it, like it was some kind of memory dump. Anyway, he (rather foolishly) gave it to me to attemt to repair. I used the Dejan Flasher and the "full 3310 repair flash". Everything was going OK until near the end of the flash I got what looked like a power surge and the PC screen went black for a second.
Now the phone is totally dead. I've never had a power surge before, so I imagine I just screwed up the flash. Is it now parts fodder?
Any suggestions welcomed.

Or i will buy it for £10, £12 if you include the charger.
