USB To DB9 Serial Adapter??

Hi,
Would like to ask plz if u can u use this adapter: USB To DB9 Serial Adapter Cable for PDA/RS232 etc, to enable the normal USB sharp cable to act as the serial one does [rs232] also??

They are selling these at ebay & wondered if they worked & if it was possible that the usb cable could then be transformed to act as the rs232 as it would then be able to unlock or upgrade the gx30 also without having to have several cables.

Would be gr8ful for any help plz.

Yes u can.
I have an USB dongle, and with those drivers, i can simulate an COM1 cable.
I also unlocked my GX20 with my USB cable and vylani 3.1 software.
USB cables are much better than COM1 ones!
U just have to have those drivers to do everything!
