Unlocking 6820a

I have been reading these forums sayin that you cannot unlock a 6820a but i have. i used Prodigy GEN and Asic 2. this works tmobile uk.

the american 6820 works in GSM 850/1800/1900
most of the european networks work with GSM 1800, and the 6820a can work there.

the problem is with some GSM 900 only networks, found in parts of asia and africa.
