3650 cable problems

I bought a serial cable for my 3650 on ebay and i can't get it to work for the life of me i have tried everything that i have found on the internet forums and i can;t get anywhere someone please help me if you have any advice

you should have asked for an exact description of what the serial cable can do, before buying it. anyway the connecter cable on the back of the phone is for installing the system software, for this you will need a dedicated box and the usb cable for it. fbus/mbus protocol is only for unlocking the phone or for resetting the security code...
