Question 3390 (has anyone had success?)

I am frustrated. I have tried all these programs and nothing seems to work with my 3390. Has anyone had success flashing a 3390? If so, what software did you use to do it and what flash file did you use?

    Much appreciated

I am using windows xp pro. I have tried rolis 478b6, nokia tool 1.8, winDLS5a, knok95, and a few others that seem to be knockoffs of these. the only thing that has given me some feeling of success is PPMEdit 1.0a I was able to open and edit a flash file with it. Now if I could just figure out how to flash the phone I would be happy.

    Thanks for the input,

I will mess around with rolis 478b6 again and see if i can get it to work. if not I will post the error message that I get here.

At least if I know it has worked for someone else then I can keep trying.

if you are using XP, you should be running USERPORT to allow Rolis Flasher proper access to the LPT port.

you should have received an error message at startup that Rolis Flasher doesn't run on NT or 2000. running the program on compatibility mode for WIN95 or anything else will get rid of the error message, but will not remedy the problem of accessing the LPT port. so use USERPORT.
