somethings still wrong, thanks for the codes but it hasnt worked. this is the third time I have recieved "code error" so I only have two attempts left. I posted the imei etc on another thread and got different codes, can anyone please help with this phone?

I've tried codes 1 and 7 but still got code error,

What will ahppen if say, the phone is already unlocked but one of the corporate locks is on? becuase this phone is from virgin it uses the T-mobile UK network, however it will not accept a t-mobile sim. in the older handsets like the 3310 etc you had locks 3 or 4 closed to lock the phone to a particular sim type. does anyone else have this type of experience??

yes the fact its a virgin phone make alot of difference
if its now on t mobile then its already unlocked at a guess
who is t mobile the network you wanted it unlocked too

I think the codes are right but now I get the message "cannot undo restriction", what the hell does this mean?!? have I expired all of the tries in just 3 goes? hmm, confused.

you get 5 attempts all together as i am aware of
u need to try code 1 then 7 then 5 in that order
i bet u have entered more codes than that by now
if u have then its a cable unlock for your phone

the code should be right though
if they wasnt plenty of people will have compared there results to give u by now and would have posted them and even cussed me lol

thanks for all your help, and yea I have now put more than 5 codes in. I can get a cable but there are no free unlockers for this model yet are there? I expect JIC wont do it.

that would be a question for someone with more experience in the cable unlock area
maybe just as cheap and as easy to goto your local market trader who will unlock it
i know its a pain to pay that way but u get the money back from when u can sell it to anyone on any network

no problem, its not actually my phone, its an unlock for a friend. I'm not losing anything by not suceeding in unlocking it so theres no worries. thanks for all your help though,
