    nokia 8260 in english?

I have a 8260 but there are two problems with the phone:

    1. the phone is in Hebrew (and i only understand english)
    2. there doesnt seem to be anywhere to put a sim card

Does anyone know how to fix any of the two problems?

The phone is a CDMA phone! This means the Simcard is part of the phone! You cannot change the sim or place a new one it, as far as I know! I'd take it apart and use it for bits! You could however have a chat with the guys from the CDMA section!?

I don't have a clue! Go and research in the CDMA section, but it's not GSM anyway!

    Lightbulb CDMA

    Hello
I am a GSM guy, too... but i know of CDMA
    Code Diversion Multiple Access
Which means high-speed data transfers possible... on Bangkok's "Hutch" CDMA network with 153 KB/sec!
Hey don't take this phone apart or throw it away! I want a CDMA Nokia, but i have no money... poor guy here. But before you throw it in the bin, send it to me
About the language, i am not sure if this model has several languages installed..... try finding the "settings" menu (see the menu graphic) and look at the top right corner, which number is there. then go back, and press *quick* menu, THAT number, 2, 1 and you should be in the language settings menu. If it is all hebrew, scroll if you find something "automatic" or maybe other languages in their native letters.
But i am not too sure if it was "2" after your first number, can also be 4! Check that with someone who got a 8250. They should have identic menus.
    Hope i coulds help.......
    your Thanh

    just little info.....

    Hello again
    Just as info for all.....
The 8360 is NOT a CDMA phone, but a analogue/digital dual band/tri-mode model, available in the US and in Latin america. It works on TDMA 1900 and AMPS 900/800 networks.
It supports seven languages inclusive english, hebrew, chinese....
It is a fraction bigger than a 8210 but looks pretty similar. It's battery is the BLB-3 model as opposed to the 8210's BLB-2.
    Cheers....
    Thanh
