Dead Phone?

Hey I dont' know as much as you guys about cell phones, but today my friend was messing with alpha tags or something on my 8260 and now my phone wont turn on and there is no charging thing when i plug it into my charger. Is there anyway i can get it fixed without taking it to a place where they'll take my phone for at least a few days, specially with 4th of July coming up? Thanks

I know that this forum is for flashing phones, but I know you guys might have an answer to my question, and I sounds like flashing phones is interesting.
