    Angry N702 Screen Fades out

    Hi

I have two n702s and on both the screens fade out ... gently pressing the screen sometimes brings the display back on ...

As I have this on two of these phones, I presume its a common problem ...

Anyone know how to fix the problem?

    Thanks

    Les

    >> the screens fade out ...

I saw it happens in 3210 too, just fades to zero in about 60 secs.
It started after updating from 5.10 to 6.00

Pressing slight to the middle top, just above the display will bring it back to normal.

I couldn't fix it, in 75% it will stay normal after pressing.
Good cleaning of the contacts didn't help.

In most shops u can find a "conductor-rubber" (like wathes, calculators...) that is bigger than standard, if you cut it and replace for the original you have a very good results.

Sometimes, if you cant find this rubber, you can try the "old 5110" solution that is to sold the metallic parts of the display to the board.

I made the two options, and the first is more easier to aply.

This is indeed a common problem in 51xx and 61xx

    Here is my solution...

Take the phone apart, take away the screen from the board.

On the screen are 4 little metal prongs which are used to clip to the board.

Bend these contact IN to wards the centre of the back of the screen.

When you put it back onthe phone, it will be a tighter fit and you may find it harder to put back on.

Make sure it is all clipped down properly and screew everything back nice and tight.

    Screen maybe work now?
