3210 – Flash failure/problem

Hello,

I looked many documents but I didn’t found a message which described the failure I had. Hopefully somebody have an Idea how to solve the problem.
While I’d tried to flashed my 3210 from V5.1 to V6.0 I got the following failure messages from Rollins flasher at bank 21400:

Flash erasing error!
Must receive 91 00 FF but received: FF FF FF
Check Vpp, Vbat voltage, phone type …

I tried it two ways. First I used the MCU update of this side. Second I used the MCU download from a working mobile of a friend.
Every time I got that failure.

I used the battery of the working mobile and every time I did the right adjustment (NSE at Rollins Flasher.

I don’t know what meant with Vpp. Maybe you know what else I could try to do.

Well you got a power source prob - so this is what you do...

1) check cable connections

2) check the batteri pins (the ones the connect battery to phone)

3) have you set the correct phone type in the drop down box ???

Hii there....

I had this problem b4 wit 3310 too.Maybe u should try to clean up the cable connection tip on phone.Clean it wit cotton and alcohol.And make sure the battery pin work fine too.

Thanks for the Information dr.bizar and ryan_chong.

1. I checked cabel conections. There are correct because I did a transmision and saved from another phone the mcu.

2. I tryed again with battery and connection to power suply (loader for battery)

3. I set the right phone, 3210 NSE8 (My phone is an 3210 and showed NSE8/NSE9)

The failure is starting the transmission form mcu 20000. No problems until bank 21400.

After your reply I cleand up the connections and tried it twice.

But I got the same failure.

Could I do anything else or do I have to scrap the phone?

I'm also having this problem... haven't tried these few methods... will post up the results when I tried it later @ night... Fed up with it... was flashing half way and it gave me that error... would really need some help from you guys!!!

its just the same problem i have, m using rolis 477, n nkbox with flasher n just work flash the phone., even with a .fls file, what sims 2 b the problem, the 3210 is the only unit i cant upgrade...................i need helpppppppppppppppppppp............

But I also had a problem once, those connectors made by Chinks doesn't aligh with the contacts with the phone! So I had to use tweasers to align it by carefully bending the contacts on the phone connector.

I am sure your problem is the same too.

No. Not necessary. Haha... I just tried with my bro's comp and both flash failure phone works... I guess it's just WinXP compatibility issue... Will format my PC soon... hee
