T-mobile 6010 no GSM networks

hello all,

I have a T-mobile 6010 which came from the US, and it unlocked OK using a DCT4 calculator. however, it does not find any GSM networks here in ireland (vodafone, O2 or meteor). the phone has GSM capability as far as i know, and is new, so cannot be faulty. even a manual network search shows nothing. what could be wrong ?.

hello all,

further to my post above, i think the T-mobile nokia 6010 may not have GSM 900 capability, hence the no network problem in ireland. Ah well..

thats right, the 6010, uses gsm 850/1900, so it will not work in Ireland/UK, because they use 900/1800 instead, see the difference? Yup. thats why
