Nokia 6020 Random lock ups

Hi all,

I have a Nokia 6020 here that randomly locks up. If you were to press the buttons 1, 2 and 3 buttons in order it will stall, the screen will fade and then comes back again. I have flashed the latest firmware to the phone and reset user area etc but with no joy. I obviously think that this maybe a hardware fault but I am better with the software side of things.

Any ideas?

do you have your own shop or something!?

6020 under warranty? if yes then send it off, its the easiest way of fixing this and you can charge your customer what you want... otherwise i dont know, i really would have put this down to software... try flashing an earlier version into it and see if it solves it

Thanks again for the reply. Nope not a shop, i just get lot of phones in bulk and turn them over as my abilities allow. Currently doing about 30 a week and learning more as i go along.

I will try to downgrade the firmware on the 6020. I was convinced it was a software fault as the handset is immaculate.

Will let you know how i get on.

Hi,

Well, I have flashed a lower spec firmware onto the phone but no change. One thing I did notice is that the Twister box cannot read the PM. It always hangs at 61%. Is there anyway to flash another PM file onto the handset. My server access doesnt provide another one.

Phone gone off for Nokia warranty repair today. Couldn't get it to work with software so sent it away....on to the next one.

Hi all,

Just to complete the trail and so people can search. The 6020 came back from repair today. They replaced the UI and reflashed the software. Phone now works fine.
