    6510 int power failure

can any one shed any light on this extremely annoying problem with my 65, every so often it switches itself off. (battery not full, switch not pressed or any other stupid simple explainations like that please, im not a moron) but it seems to happen when somone calls me, never on outgoing call, only incoming. I.e it happened twice in one day while I was writing a text message and someone was trying to reach me both times. I have had the soft upgraded but this did not cure it, now I'm beginnig to think PA. any advances on my theory?

    Dave.

p.s oh yea, when it switches off it just goes OFF, no light timeout, no shutdown, nothing. like taking the batt out.
one fine day in the middle of the night, two dead men got up to fight, back to back the faced oneandother drew thier swords and shot each other.

    6510 auto off

    Hi, there friend.
here's my xplanation based from your statement. when u make a call your mobile consumes more power compared to when it is in stanby mode.
i think you phone's hardware is defective, i have observed this trouble with several phones, and looking at their schematic diagrams, i have conluded that the rf power amplifier is defective.
during a call the rf power amplifier loads the battery till its voltage drop to a very low value and the phone shuts down! you better change the rf power amplifier.

thats what I thought. the other day I noticed that one of the battery pins was bent, either btemp or bsi, bent it back into shape and had no probs since. however I also noticed that when it resets all of my saved words in my T9 dictionary dissapear, as if the phone performs its own Factory Reset without external stimulus like a command on the F/Mbus. could be RAM fault causing bad checksum?

    Dave.

Hello ,what can I say Dave ,happens to me on 3310 same problem ,try to see at battery status (on netmonitor) what happen if voltage drop too low when in call that 's a bad thing at my phone was that and now is dead.I try to see what's the problem and cpu phone is dead ,where must be power core supply - 1.8V is short to ground I check all and cpu is short to gnd.
But if at yours voltage is normal try to heat pcb maybe is some imperfect connections. Good luck!
