6610i on Virgin Australian network

Tried the Unlock code generator but phone says code error
have checked everything is right, but it still wont unlock

Has anyone unlocked a 6610i with virgin before?

I was told that the phone was locked but after 3 codes didn't unlock it, I decided to try a Telstra sim in the Virgin only mobile and it works.

I would suggest to people out there that trying the sim you want to use is the first step you should do before trying to unlock it. But hey, when you look at the bigger problems you are faced with it's easy to miss the small details!
