THNX for your help. now my 6210 works properly. i follow your advice to put some flux and hot air on cobba chip and the flash rom, and flash it all with new repair back up fls(200000-600000),calculate faid,change imei,eeprom using nk calculator by dejan.and now, my phone works on. still, nothing problems, no hang, steady signal and all locks still factory settings.

I need a bit of help Abe. I have 2 screwy phones that constantly hangs or resets after a bit of heavy usage. One unit is a 8210 the other 8250. What I did with both phones is do a full flash from mcu to eeprom memory range. The problem is I forgot to make a backup for the 8210. So after flashing both phones, I changed IMEI, but original remains that of the flashes' I copied into the phones, so I used that orIMEI app to change the original IMEI. After updating the original and the 2nd IMEI copy (using nk_calc), I updated faid, then repaired eeprom, using nk_calc. Then I loaded nkprofile, and loaded the default settings. Then checked the phone with nokiatool. Both phones looked ok, imei reads correctly, the sp locks look ok. The problem now is that the 8210 works ok, no hangs or resets, but the 8250 is screwy. I'd like to ask you if I did anything wrong in the whole process. When is the proper time to do the faid updgrade? Should i do the faid calc before changing both original and copy of IMEI? If I do faid calc first before changing both IMEIs, I will get one set of MSID that's entirely different if I do the imei changes first then faid calc. I notice that the MSID changes a lot. Is there a "correct" MSID for each phone? One that will not cause these lockups and resets? Or does it constantly change and there's no fix MSID. I have flux and hot air over here. I can do what ya recommended. But I'm afraid to flux and hotair the flash rom. The IC itself is kinda covered by some form of liquid in between the ic and the pcb, so pourin flux between the ic and pcb wont do anything, it will just flow around the chip and not under the BGA. And how long should I hot air the ics? And what settings? I usually use 4.5 setting for both heat and air. Thanks for going through this long message, and more power Abe.

If u have done the same as in 8210 then it should be ok.........
Try to reflash whole mcu+ppm+eeprom into phone and do F1.F2.F3 with nk_calc and sw reset in nokiatool..........
If this doesnt help the do what eugene did....some hot air with flux but not too much........
do it like when u change rf in t28 or nokia when signal is lost.........

The 8250 is still acting up even after the hotair and flux solution. Right now I'm at a loss as to what is causing these lockups, hardware or software problem. Abe, what are the most common indicators that show its either a software or hardware problem in the 8250's case (lockups, resets after heavy usage). Please correct me if I'm wrong, but is it always true that software problems immediately manifest themselves upon bootup of the phone? Like if faid is wrong, mcu, ppm or eeprom is corrupt, when you turn on the phone, the defect manifests itself almost instantaneously either thru a no signal indicator or contact service message. Hardware problems on the other hard are much more slower in manifesting itself, and they are very random. Are these ideas of mine wrong? If I check the entire memory dump (mcu to eeprom) with NFree and I don't see any corrupt memory, then is it safe to assume that its a hardware problem? Or when ripping the memory off the phone with Rolis's DCT3 App, if I don't get a message that the memory is corrupt, and that I will get Contact Service when I load the memory dump, again, is this a hardware problem?
