A little advise please!!!!!

Hi people, Basically i'm a veteran Nokia user, and i just went crazy and got myself a D500.

I've been on this site, messing with nokia's for quite a little while now (under 2 names), but i know nothing about samsung.

I've read alot of the post's and i'm still a little confused.

I've read alot about changing the IMEI, but all i want to do is open the phone so it can take other chip's. It's currently T-mobile, but i'd like to be able to use Orange, and more importantly i want to use foreign sim cards when i go to europe this summer.

Do i have to change the IMEI with the programs mentioned around here????

Is there no way to just open the phone without going through all this???

Also is there any programs that allow you to access the phone like a hard drive, like 'FExplorer' on nokia symbian's??

Can anyone help??

All i need is a push in the right direction??

I can't believe that i've got to change the IMEI?? do i??

No need to change IMEI..the simple solution is to go to a local shop and get Ur phone unlocked for a small charge...bout how to explore Ur phone with PC..go to oficial samsung site there are free programs to use..
