    Unlocking Problems with T28W and ATR 5.3

    I am having problems unlocking a T28W. I have tried ATR 2.2 and ATR 5.0. I keep getting time out errors. The cable seems to be connecting the phone to the serial port OK as the program seems to recognize that something is connected to COM1.

    I have cleaned the connections and that is not the problem. When I try to use ATR 5.3 the program attempts to start (flashes on the screen and then disappears) but never loads properly. I have downloaded 5.3 from multiple sources and they all act the same.

    The computer seems OK since DIV 3.1, 4.0, 5.0 (for use with Terminator Dongle on later phones - not trying with the T28W) and ATR 2.2 and 5.0 all load normally.

    Any ideas of what's going on.
