    Gmt+38

I purchased my 3650 a few months ago in Hong Kong. I have inserted my AT&T SIM into the phone and all features are working fine. When I first returned to the U.S. AT&T did not support automatic time updates, but recently turned on this feature.

Now when my phone processes an automatic update it places the time zone at being GMT +38.

I have downloaded the world clock application to the phone and have been able to use that program to properly set the GMT zone to NY (GMT -4) but only until the next time I receive a time update from the system then the phone changes back to GMT +38. Also other phones (Nokia 7250/Sony T68i etc) do work fine on the system and receive proper time updates, so it is not an AT&T error as far as I can tell.

Any thoughts on how to correct this.

Also, I am not sure what ver. of the firmware I have. The phone supports the languages "English and Philipino" So I would also like it if someone can solve the mystery on how to view the firmware ver. (I think I am just being a bit braindead on this one).

Thanks in advance for any advise!

I had a similar problem with a 7650, it would auto update to the wrong time zone and not GMT (I'm in the UK).

I called Vodafone and Nokia and asked if they had any ideas and Nokia told me that only orange supported this feature.

However I have a 6310i that's also on Vodafone that has been using this feature for 12 months now and working fine. So I think it is some sort of software problem.

I haven't had a problem since I updated to the 4.39 f/w. But it doesn't seem to update at all. So perhaps they have changed the way it works with some of the networks.

Thanks for the reply. I still need to determine my software ver. Once I do that, I will see if I can update to a newer version if applicable. Once again thanks for the reply.

Not sure but you should be able to view ur s/w version on using *#0000# if it's anything like the other Nokias.

That was correct. I forgot about that. Like I said earlier, I thought I was just being a bit brain dead...

    Thanks!
