    *#0000# - won't work?!?

    Can anyone tell me what I should do to find the software version of a nokia 402 (orange version of the 5110) I've tried the usual *#0000# but it doesn't work???

    you seem like a man in the know.... where can I get it from.. I've looked at the tools on nfree download page but I can't get them to work... I have windows XP. Couls you post a good working flash program that works with XP.

    XP, god I hate that software anyway try this file and you may need to D/L userport as well (don't ask me about such program as it's for 2000/XP which I don't use). Also not to sure but try *#9999* as I think this was for the older nokia orange phones.

    That code give software version of the phone? Don't on my 9210.

    That code spells warr0anty. Its used for checking when the phone was manufactured/repaired etc.
    Doesn't work on all Nokias.

    Yes that I know but the guy is looking for his software version not when his phone was made or if it has been repaired (it works on all DCT-3,DCT-4 phones and maybe DCT-2 not got one so can't check).

    Yes, you're right, it doesn't show software version.
    As previously suggested, Nokia Tool or even logomanager (!) would do the trick.
