Try playin around a little with rolis nok tool 1.8! Clearing splocks, updating imei, sfr, updating faid, etc. and then a sw reset! I managed to bring a 5110 back to live with something like this!

    Xarius is right.....

I had contact service before and somone said "change the eeprom" but i didnt.

I used rolis 4.77 and uploaded flash, calced faid, reset locks etc... and i resurrected my fone......

DONT WASTE MONEY ON NEW EEPROM!!!!!!

I have version 5.30, I have flashed so many phones after that, and all are working perfectly fine except that one

first use eepromtools 3.1 check the test then it will appear what cause of contact service if its eeprom checksum then
try to full factory reset if not work then try to resolder the eeprom if not working then you have to reprogram it .

Isolate the Problem first (use Eeprom tool 3.1) run test

    1. If hardware problem replaced eeprom and apply Reset Full Factory Settings.
    2. If SW flash it with a new file and update FAID

    Unhappy your help pleez!

I,ve read the flash from adress 200000 to 300000 on a 5110 with contact service(eeprom tools 3.1 showed cheksum error). While trying to rewrite the flash, after repairing the checksum, with rolis 477 & 478(build 006),I get an error message:

    "flash erasing error"."must receive 91 00 FF,but receive: FF FF FF"."check Vpp,Vbat voltage,phone type".

I also noted that the external power supply slipped out of socket and switched of while trying to flash[could this have cause any sort of problem].

Please advise me on the next step.

    Hmm...

External power supply? You mean the one on the Flasher Box, right? If that is what you mean, if you re-flash the phone again, this problem should be fixed.

Does it have a internal backup battery?
If yes, remove it and flash with working PPM+MCU+EEPROM flash file,

I had a 8210 like this, and i did every thing but none of them worked, then i remove the backup battery(small round thing in the plastic hole connected to keypad and LCD) and flash it by a working backup(Remember full backup).

    Live and Kicking.

    Cheers
