    TCP/IP over GPRS

do you get full 65535 ports TCP and UDP and your own IP addy with gprs phones, so are there like telnet apps and such u can get for them?

what about if u connect ure phone to a comp and use it to go online..? will i be able to play subspace and wulfram... and connect to all my n00bish little VB apps i wrote for my comp at home that use winsock..?

Most GPRS providers have some kind of NAT system, so you won't have an unique ip, hence no ports opened. Some do provide a valid ip and allow some ports in, but most are blocked "to protect their clients", so i wouldn't bet on it.

There was a telnet app floating around, allthough i merely wanted an SSH client, as i have no telnet server open to the public.

Your n00bish little applets won't compile on the 3650/7650
You can either go java... or go for C++.
Both development kits are free... you can use a free C compiler on the net.

any gprs providers that let you run server apps on your phone?
