Irda problems

Can anyone help i'm having trouble using my laptops irda port! The pc recognises my phones, 7250i, 6100,8310, but just dosn't want to send or recieve data via the nokia pc suite.

Yeah man, this should be easy to solve.... You should lower the infrared connection speed.... Right clck on My Computer, then hardware, device manager and click on the IrDA properties, from there, lower the speed to 115k or 56k, this should work... If not tell me what happens cos there's something else you should do in that case....Post the result.... Cheerz

i have the same problem! i try to low down the connection-speed but it doesn't help...it works perfectly with the 7650.

Did you try to change the tranceiver type?
Do that, it usually work if set to Vishay 6101E.
