MMS initiation command?

I have a 3650 and O2 UK wont let you pick your MMS messages up other than on the web. They just send a message through telling me I've recieved one, and have to go onto their website.

Is there a way I can initiate the MMS pickup command from the phone to retrieve the message from the gateway?

Really annoys me that they stop the initiation messages getting through to try and force me onto a more expensive tarriff.

Any ideas?

In mine, I had to send a SMS to a given number with a message that had a nokia code.
