Sure u havent used a 74act04 ???

If u keep blowing up your IC stop handeling them wrong...

I would still go for the 74hc14 becourse of the smith trigger...
alot af progs. going higher the 9800 baud will get probs. also it depents on the eeprom used in the phone... alot of siemens phones won't go for 04. at least thats my experiance...

My advice... use the 14 for flash and the 04 for Mbus.

Thx for pionting out the LC part, - alot of people keeps complaining about the IC going dead. Nice to see someone else but me telling it

By the way dave, - how are u with software ??? i suck at programming... (do u know any driver or software that makes the LPT port BIT addresebel in win-XP ??? if u do plz tell me
