I just bought an Ngage in the US. I have now tried three different SIM card with the following result:
- The 1st SIM card works fine, The device starts and the phone works. It is not my account however.![]()
- The 2nd SIM card is rejected. I get the message “SIM card rejected”
- The 3rd SIM card is not recognized as a SIM card. I get the message “Please insert SIM card”.
In the package bought in the US I received a T-Mobile SIM card. That card is not activated but I can start the Ngage device with it (without being able to make any calls of course).
Can anyone please explain why I have this problem?
The 1st and 2nd card is from the same operator (Vodaphone Sweden) and all of the cards works fine in any other phone.
I was told by the shop in the US that the phone didn't have a lock.
Do I need to unlock the phone?
you could try an unlock it and see what happens when you put the other sims in, there is no reason why the sims arnt recognised if theyre working in another phone.
