    Crack this problem

    Hey guys,

I have a 6600 and the carrier has put their own website as a shortcut on my main screen.. so when you would normally hit the services button, (on the right, blue line through it, next to the joystick) you would get your gprs sites come up, mine automatically goes to the carriers site? It has their logo and name there.. its called Optus Zoo

How do you get rid of that?

surely someone knows how to get rid of this shortcut, and get the phone back to the original shortcut?

6600_Edie, you are Australian aren't you? On the Optus carrier aren't you?

Is your phone on a plan? Did you go to the Optus Shop and bought the 6600 with a Optus SIM inserted? Is your phone branded (Optus sticker on the phone - placed by Optus workers)?

Are you saying that there is a shortcut in the Main Menu, that goes to Optus Zoo?

About the homepage. Everytime you connect to GPRS, it goes to the Optus Zoo page because that's what the settings has told it to go ... the site has been set as the HOMEPAGE. Similar to Internet Explorer, everytime it opens the WAP browser, the Homepage appears first before you visit any other site. This is normal. If you want to, you can go to
Tools -> Settings -> Connection -> Access Points -> *Select the connection you have on default* -> *Press down joystick* -> Change it to whatever WAP page you want to see everytime you open the WAP Browser.

I hope this answers your question, but I think I went off track for awhile ...

    Same here

I have it from T-mobile (with sticker on the phone enz..)
My right button also went to the homepage (t-zones)
just go to Tools>setting>standby modus and change the right button there

    And my problem was solved
