T-mobile and flashing to a newer firmware

Guy's I have a problem. I've got a (T-mobile) 6600 wich I have unlocked, but when I wanted to flash the phone @ the nokiacentre it wasn't possible because there is another restriction on the phone
they told me I had to wait on the special T-mobile Firmware 4.09

Can somebody tell me what kind of restriction this is, and how to get rid of it.

this is a wild guess but im guessing it is you have t-mobile firmware you can only upgrade to t-mobile firmware, upgrading now would wipe the t-mobile stuff t-mobile must have special apps on your phone of something or settings which need to be included in the firmware, i guess you will have to wait

Lol that was part of the plan...to get rid of all the t-mobile crap. (and the bugs offcourse) oh well just have to wait.

btw, I can only unlock my phone using code #1 of the 7 all the others don't work.
