Unlocking A300e locked to Orange SIM?

I have received this Samsung A300e for a little while and it appears to be locked to a single SIM card on orange UK.

If I put in any other SIM, even another Orange one, it displays the message Enter Network Unlock Code.

The owner contacted both Orange and Samsung but Orange refuse to give him the unlock code and Samsung say it's Orange's fault.

Will I need to obtain the original SIM card and type *2767*637# to unlock it or is there another way? (no clips, cables, flashers etc.)

you cant tap in # or * on the keypad on the a300e when using the code to unlock it, so it cant be that code, it has to be a numerical code without * or #. my a300e has been asking for a "network unlock code" so im still in search for the code! will just have to continue searching
