V66 voice mail alert...please help

I have a Motorola V66 (German version).I am using America carrier...everytime if somebody leave me a voice mail ...I got text alert instead voice mail alert...
Is it any one know how to correct the problem ? please help

Going to guess your using VoiceStream/T-Mobile....

If thats the case.. then there is not a way to change that because thats how 'they' set up the notification.

Phonedude ! But if I use another V66 (American version). Voice mail alert will work like the way it should be....
Flex version is different ..... That may be a problem.

Well, anything is possible but you still didnt mention which American carrier your using..

I read EEPROM from working one and write it to German One. That will change Flex version. After that It works fine.
