nokia 2100 screen problem

hi
i was on my nokia 2100 and it just froze. i couldnt even yurn it off. i had to open it up and take the battery out to turn it off. then, when i turned it back on, the screen just stayed blank. it doesnt respond and nothing shows up on the screen. when i try turn it off, it doesnt. it turns on perfectly fine but doesnt turn off by the button at the top.
whats wrong?

same with one of my 2100, but mine is completely blank with the light on & doesn't turn off just like yours.
I just don't no what to do.

Because it froze just before doing this, It sounds to me like you have a software problem.
